Hotel Tullio

The hotel has a lovely pool and terrace, has a great location next to the lake, is boutique in size with a good car park. Location near the top of lake como is good for exploring and the town of gravedona has some lovely restaurants. The staff are helpful. On the downside the wifi service is awful, walk halfway into your room and you lose the signal, I had to sit in the bar to get enough signal to connect, in this day and age even on holiday people need and want to be connected!! Breakfast was also disappointing, a relative limited continental selection compared to other hotels we have stayed at, scrambled or hard boiled eggs only and the toaster takes for ever to produce toast!!

Pictures can’t describe the beauty of this family owned hotel. Surrounded by the alps on one side and just next to Lago di Como on the other side, you have the advantage of a gorgeous pool near the lake in the countryside tranquility combined with proximity to a picturesque Italian village and close to the majority of tourist attractions. A generous breakfast and espresso is served on the terrace while overlooking the lake. Highly recommended when looking for a boutique hotel at Como lake

Great location, great rooms and magical views. I highly recommend you spend a bit more on a lake view. Overall this hotel is well worth it. Two areas of improvement is to let staff know that it's not okay to respond to multiple inquires about a service with "if you wanted laundry you should have booked a 4 star hotel not a family run hotel" a simple apology would have sufficed. Also it would have been nice for them to add some very basic services such as omelettes for breakfast instead of having guests make their own. The wifi requires immediate attention; it simply doesn't work. Overall great hotel if you're looking for a simple calm hotel with views but keep in mind that it lacks any basic services. It's essentially an apartment with daily cleaning services.

This is our first visit to Italy and we were totally charmed by Tullio Hotel and it’s welcoming owners, Giovanni and Isabella. We are not related to them or knew anything about them other than having chosen them from reviews on the Internet. We totally lucked out! You are made to feel like family the moment you walk in the door. The hotel is facing Lake Como, within a short walking distance. The views are spectacular. The hotel itself is modern, very comfortable and absolutely spotless. The feeling of the hotel is one big happy family because that is how Giovanni and Isabela treat their staff. Our room was bright and cheery with huge sliding glass doors leading to a large roof terrace and small balcony. The included buffet breakfast is absolutely grand. So many choices...so little time. Everything fresh and delicious. Everything carefully and artistically presented for you. As we did not rent a car, we did have to take taxis to various restaurants, although many of them are within walking distance of a mile or two, some are even closer. When we could not find a taxi Giovanni was kind enough to drive us. Not something he could do on a regular basis as he works very hard overseeing the hotel from the front desk seven days a week to make sure that everything is running smoothly. We were sorry to leave the hotel but the hugs helped.

By far it is the best hotel I've been staying in not only in Italy but maybe Worldwide. The owner make you feel professionally at home. They offer services you would find in top notch facilities without the stiffness. They know the region wonderfully and will suggest places only locals know with kindness and passion. I definitely recommend and would come back.
